We are probably already using Artificial Intelligence applications in our daily lives without being aware of it. Ranging from Spotify, which proposes music selections, to Google, which is developing speech recognition, and facial recognition by security cameras. All applications that are being accelerated because we are able to solve complex problems using self-learning networks.

In the horticulture sector, there are complex challenges that can be solved using AI applications. How do you model a developing plant? Or, how do you get a robot to pick tomatoes? It may sound easy, but living products all are unique and therefore highly complex in terms of automation.
